Keep product color variants separate in AI ads
A product color variant is a distinct production choice. Keep its reference photos separate from the other colors, even when the shape is identical. Asking one ad to alternate between several variants can make it difficult to tell which shade or detail should remain authoritative.
Build a variant map
This hypothetical shop sells the same notebook in blue and green. The photographs show both covers, each with its own front and elastic-detail view. No other colors have been confirmed.
| Reference | Source set | Ad assignment |
|---|---|---|
| Blue notebook | Blue front and blue detail photos | One closure demonstration in blue |
| Green notebook | Green front and green detail photos | A separate closure demonstration in green |
Name the references clearly enough to select the intended one. Do not add the green detail image to the blue product merely to show the closure mechanism. A mixed set introduces a color conflict even if the elastic has the same construction.
Choose the source color authority
Inspect the originals for lighting differences. If the blue cover appears purple in one photograph because of a strong color cast, obtain a clearer view or record which source represents the intended appearance. A generated sheet is not a substitute for that merchant decision.
Keep the final scene's light simple enough to inspect. Warm light can change how a shade looks, so distinguish a plausible lighting effect from an actual change of variant. The photo-background guide helps separate source clarity from the chosen setting.
Use the same action when comparing shades
For a proposed pair, use the same desk, framing and elastic movement. Change only the selected product reference and approved color wording. This is a production comparison; it does not establish which color customers prefer.
If one ad is a launch announcement for the green cover, describe that separate message in its own brief. The launch script guide helps keep the new-color claim precise without implying a redesigned interior or an unconfirmed offer.
Review continuity inside each clip
Pause on the opening, hand contact and ending. The blue version should not drift toward green midway through the closure. Check the elastic, edges and label too; color correctness alone does not establish product identity.
In fairytale, upload each variant into its own product reference and select the intended one for the ad. Missing sheets from uploaded photos are prepared with the paid Generate request when needed, and then saved onto those references. Check the quote for the actual selected set.
Use the reference reuse guide to keep prepared sources available for later angles. Preserve finished videos as separate outputs so a future reference edit never becomes a reason to relabel an older clip as the new variant.
