Record real packaging before an AI unboxing ad
Packaging references should record a sequence, not merely a closed box. Before planning an AI unboxing ad, establish what the customer receives, what opens first and where each item appears. Missing states leave room for invented inserts or accessories.
A source record for a hypothetical notebook
The merchant confirms one notebook inside a paper sleeve, protected by plain wrap in a shipping box. A pen, sticker sheet and printed thank-you card are not included.
- Closed shipping box: photograph the actual outer packaging and any visible identifying mark.
- Open box: show the notebook still in its protective wrap.
- Wrap removed: show the notebook in its sleeve.
- Sleeve removed: show the front cover clearly.
- Contents together: photograph the notebook and actual packaging, with no styling accessory mistaken for an included item.
This record supports several possible reveals. You do not need to show the entire chain in a short video. Choose one transition, such as sliding off the sleeve, that communicates the item clearly.
Separate contents from scene props
A table pen can give scale or context, but it should not appear to emerge from the package unless it is included. Write the role beside each object: “notebook: sold item,” “sleeve: included packaging,” “desk pen: scene prop.” If a role is unknown, ask the merchant before using the object in a reveal.
Likewise, decorative gift wrap is different from the shipping package. The seasonal script guide helps introduce gifting context without implying an unconfirmed gift box.
Keep movement consistent with construction
Show which flap, sleeve edge or wrap layer moves. A lid should open along its actual hinge; a sleeve should slide rather than fold into a different object. Give removed packaging a destination on the table so it does not vanish between stages.
For the sleeve example, begin with the notebook fully inside it. Slide the sleeve to one side, set it down and hold the notebook front toward the camera. The unboxing script guide connects that action with restrained speech.
Prepare the ad and review the contents
In fairytale, upload the product and packaging source photos into the product reference, then choose the scene and optional character. Uploaded references enter the ad immediately; missing sheets are prepared first during the paid video Generate request when needed.
After rendering, count the visible items and compare each packaging state with the originals. Reject extra accessories, doubled notebooks or an invented printed insert even if the opening looks smooth. Check lettering with the label guide.
Keep the contents record with the brief. If the merchant later changes the package, update the sources for future ads and retain older videos as records of what they were made to show.
