AI ads: creative, delivery and destination
“AI ads” can describe different parts of advertising. One tool may generate a video; another may help choose which audience sees an existing ad. Keep those jobs separate when planning. A generated clip is a piece of creative, while campaign delivery and the destination still need their own decisions.
Three inputs for one hypothetical campaign
Consider a small shop with a photographed desk lamp. It wants to introduce the lamp's visible adjustable arm. No brightness measurements or energy-use comparison has been supplied.
| Input | Example decision | What the creative can establish |
|---|---|---|
| Buying situation | A person arranging a reading corner | Why adjusting the arm matters in that scene |
| Destination | The actual lamp product page | A clear invitation to inspect product details |
| Delivery setup | A separately configured campaign and outcome | No prediction of reach, conversions or sales |
The video might show a hand moving the arm once, then hold on the new position. That explains a photographed mechanism. It does not establish that the intended audience will buy the lamp or that an advertising platform will find those buyers.
Use generation for a concrete production task
An AI creative workflow needs more than a product name. Supply reference photographs, confirmed facts, a scene and an action with a clear beginning and finish. If the clip speaks, approve exact words. A generated presenter should describe the confirmed adjustment rather than claim to have used the lamp for years.
In fairytale, the Guided ad organizes the optional character, product, scene and description. Uploaded photos enter the ad without drawing a sheet immediately. Missing reference sheets are prepared first when you choose the paid Generate action, with their cost included in the quote. You then review the resulting product, motion and speech.
Keep campaign questions visible
Before producing variants, write the actual question the campaign will ask. For example: “Does an arm-adjustment opening help viewers understand this lamp compared with a whole-product opening?” That is a proposed comparison. Neither version has a demonstrated performance advantage before an actual test.
Also check what happens after the click. If the product page does not show the same lamp, variant or availability, the ad and destination give conflicting information. The call-to-action guide connects the closing instruction to that next step.
A useful division of work
Prepare the message using the buying-situation exercise, decide whether motion adds information with video versus image ads, and then generate the creative. Keep delivery settings and campaign reporting in the platform that runs the campaign. This division makes it easier to identify whether the next change belongs in the clip, the destination or the delivery setup.
