Arrange a home studio scene for an AI ad
A believable home studio is a room where the product action makes sense. Start with the working surface and the creator’s reach, then add the rest of the room. A beautiful background is unhelpful if the table crosses the product, the camera looks past the action or the person cannot plausibly reach the object.
Draw the scene in ordinary words
Hypothetical example: a creator introduces a photographed pen case at a desk. The case is closed at the start; opening it is the only action. Supplied photos show the zip and interior lining, but the exact dimensions and number of pens it holds are unknown. The setting should explain why the case is there without turning the clip into a claim about capacity.
Describe the desk in relation to the seated person: its near edge below the hands, the case within easy reach, and the camera opposite at a height that sees both the zip and the face. “Cosy office” establishes a mood but does not establish any of these physical relationships. A simple room description gives the model fewer conflicting objects to maintain.
Keep useful background clues
- A chair behind the creator explains their posture.
- One lamp or window explains the dominant light direction.
- A closed book can imply a work setting without requiring generated readable text.
- A plain wall or quiet shelf keeps the product silhouette clear.
Avoid an unrelated collection of cosmetics, drinks and electronics just to make the room look occupied. Props create continuity obligations: their positions, reflections and shadows all need to remain stable. Remove anything the story does not use, particularly branded screens and text that the viewer might mistake for product information.
Make a compact layout brief
Hypothetical desk layout:
Creator seated behind the desk; case directly in front.
Camera across the desk, slightly above the hands.
Soft daylight from frame left; warm lamp stays background.
Right hand opens the zip, left hand holds the case steady.
End: open case still on desk, no invented contents.
Use a real scene photograph when the layout must match your shop or room. In fairytale video, uploaded scene photos select the reference immediately; its missing paid sheet is prepared during video generation. A scene generated from a description is its own paid reference flow. The reusable style block records the look alongside the layout.
Check the finished room around the action
Pause while the hand reaches forward. Does the desk move, does the creator’s elbow pass through it, or does a prop suddenly occupy the reach path? Inspect the end frame for new objects and unreadable screen text. Choose the next correction from the actual failure: simpler layout, clearer source photo or a less ambitious action.
The tabletop guide covers support and shadows. Use the seven-field style block to keep this room consistent across later ads.
