Audit existing photos before making an AI ad
Before taking new photographs, audit the product photos you already have. The number of files is less important than the questions they answer. Ten nearly identical front views may provide less useful evidence than one front view, one mechanism image and one identifying close-up.
Sort by information, not aesthetics
This hypothetical folder belongs to a shop selling a red pencil case. It contains a styled desk image, a cropped zipper close-up, two catalog front views and a photograph of the shipping box.
| File | Useful role | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Styled desk photo | Use context and overall color | A notebook hides the bottom seam |
| Zipper close-up | Pull shape and fastening detail | It does not show the whole zipper path |
| Catalog front A | Whole-object hero | No interior view |
| Catalog front B | Alternative exposure | Repeats the same information |
| Shipping box | Outer packaging | Does not establish the contents or opening sequence |
Choose the sharp whole-object view as the hero. Keep the zipper close-up for identity. Do not upload every duplicate just because it exists; contradictory exposure can make the color harder to assess.
Let the missing image change the concept
A proposed unzip-and-fill ad needs an interior photograph and verified capacity. The folder supplies neither. You have two practical choices: obtain those sources or simplify the ad to lifting the closed pencil case and showing the zipper detail.
Write the missing-photo request specifically: “Photograph the case fully open from above, with the lining and complete zipper path visible.” That is more actionable than “Send more angles.” If the merchant cannot provide it, keep the interior unknown rather than accepting a generated guess.
Check the chosen files at useful size
- Open the original rather than judging a thumbnail.
- Check whether the product edge, zipper and any printed mark are in focus.
- Look for glare, crushed shadows and objects hiding the relevant feature.
- Confirm that all selected images show the same variant and current packaging.
- Record the filenames beside the fact each one supports.
The reference-photo checklist gives a fuller input review. The background guide helps distinguish a source that clearly shows the object from an attractive setting for the final ad.
Upload the evidence you chose
In fairytale, product uploads put the reference into the ad immediately. A missing product sheet is prepared at video generation and included in the credit quote. Recheck the resulting product against your selected original files.
If the shipping box is part of the concept, use the packaging sequence guide before adding an unboxing action. A box photograph alone cannot tell the model which insert or accessory should appear.
