What is fairytale video? AI UGC ads, explained
fairytale video is a web studio for making short, creator-style video ads with AI. You bring photos of your product, choose a creator and a setting, and approve the action and spoken lines. The studio generates a video with Seedance 2.5 for you to review, caption and download for TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. You can also make a product ad without a person. This page explains what it makes, how it works, and what uses credits.
What it makes
Short video ads, 4 to 30 seconds long, in vertical 9:16 or horizontal 16:9. A typical one is a person picking up your product, using it and saying a sentence to camera: the format usually called UGC, for user-generated content. A person is optional; you can also make an ad with just your product in a scene.

How it works
1. Choose a creator
Pick a fictional creator from the library, including the 13 creators from the reels on our home page, upload photos of a person who has agreed to it, or generate a new character from a description. Each character has a sheet that shows them from six angles, head and shoulders and full length, which gives the video model references for the face and outfit. You can also give a character a new look from photos of clothes, while the face stays the same.
2. Choose a voice
Pick a voice from the library, or record or upload a clip of a voice you have permission to use.
3. Add your product
Upload a clear photo of the whole product, plus other angles if you have them and a close-up of the label or identifying detail. Uploading is free. Choose Generate product sheet with GPT Image 2.5 to draw the sheet for 5 credits, then check it against your originals before using it.
4. Choose a scene
Pick a setting from the library (home, outdoors, studio, retail, workplace, fitness, food and drink, travel), upload a photo of a real place such as your own shop or kitchen, or generate one from a description.
5. Describe the ad
Write a sentence or two about what happens, and the exact words the creator says, or leave the words blank for an ad without dialogue. If you'd like a starting point, Write it for me drafts both from your product and references. You edit or delete whatever you like, and it never invents prices, offers or claims. Then set the frame and the length.
6. Generate and review the video
Choose a duration from 4 to 30 seconds and 720p or 1080p, then use Generate video with Seedance 2.5. This is a paid render; the button shows its credit price before you start. For each video the studio writes a concept and a timed plan: what happens in each stretch of seconds, where the camera is and exactly what should be said. Every video keeps the plan, the exact prompt and the reference images it was made from. Review the product, motion and speech in the result; later edits to the ad never change a video you have already made.
7. Add captions and download
On a finished video, choose Add captions. The studio hears the spoken words; you choose a font and an animation and place the text on a live preview. Render captioned video burns them into a new H.264 MP4. Check the words and timing before downloading it. The original video stays as it was.
What's free and what uses credits
- No credits: uploading photos, drafting the description and lines with Write it for me, and adding captions to a finished video. The library's creators, products and scenes are free to use as they are.
- Uses credits: every Seedance 2.5 video, and each product sheet, character sheet or scene reference drawn with GPT Image 2.5. Each sheet costs 5 credits, including regenerated sheets and new character looks. Video pricing follows duration and resolution.
At the one-off pack rate, $1 buys 10 credits: a sheet is $0.50, and a 10-second video is 44 credits ($4.40) at 720p or 99 credits ($9.90) at 1080p. Packs start at $10; memberships include credits each month. Credits never expire. Free video previews are currently paused, so budget for every video you generate, including attempts you decide not to post. Each generation button shows its price before you use it.
Who it's for
- Brands that want to test many ad ideas without booking a shoot for each one.
- Small businesses without a video team or a creator budget.
- Marketers looking for the angle that's worth paying a real creator to film.
What it isn't for
fairytale video isn't for testimonials or results. A generated person hasn't used your product, so they shouldn't say they have; keep reviews and before-and-afters for real customers. It isn't for imitating real people either. Library characters are fictional, and you should only upload photos or voices of people who have agreed. Label your ads as AI-generated when you post them.
